Streams doesn't appear

Hi!

Excuse me for any noobness, I'm using the online sources feature of Serviio to stream web streams to my media players.
So far all the m3u8 (mp4a) links I've added are working great. But if I add mpgv streams they're not showing up in the content of the media players, even if the streams are added successfully to the sources in Serviio with the green check icon showing. The "problematic" streams are playing fine in VLC by the way but I'd love to have them available on my TV's as well.

could anyone give some explanation on restrictions and possibilities "ONLINE SOURCES" have?

how large can file be, how long should it take to start play, things like that, i haven't found any helpful info on the site yet.
