amazon fire

anyone know if I can stream using the amazon fire and serviio with no issue like I have been able to do with a sony media player...

From what Ive read on other forums, with standard android apps , yes you can....

Thanks...not sure about the app part...what I use serviio for is streaming videos from a computer to my TV thru a media player

What he means is that there is no video player included on the Fire by default. You have to download one from the app store (may or may not be free) and the app will stream from Serviio. While I have a Fire, I've haven't looked at the app store recently to see what is available. I know I've tried something in the past, but my Granddaughter has the Fire right now so I can't look at what I tried.
