ffmpeg.exe encoutered a problem

ah ok your trying to use java 7 beta and windows XP.

1. uninstall java 7 from your pc.
2. install java 6 update 29
3. try again.

I spoke too soon...woke up this morning and I had the same message about 20 times ( as compared to hundred before) so getting better but had something new too...serviio crashed.....need a new log?

it's nothing to do with Serviio's code but your OS for some reason doesn't like the FFmpeg executable. Can you enable detailed logging, and try to find the ffmpeg command that seems to cause the crash? Then run it manually.

run it manually? i figured had soemthing to do with the OS since I am running it too ona laptop using windows 7 and the computer that am having the issues is old and running xp.....

you'll see executions of ffmpeg.exe in the log. copy the line and paste in into cmd terminal (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=960)

as i valued techie in the industry i can not be held resonsible for the pile of uselessness more commonly know as windows XP.

ok so whats your setup now then, as serviio will just work on a plain install of windows 7 straight out of the box, on either java 6 update 29 or java 7. If its not working then u have something else installed that is breaking things.

i change the profile for the direct receivers in the comfig too...running windows 7, 32 bit....did upgrade the java to 6 update 29....service log? so lost ...my ip settings are identical to my other machine too and it reconizes the media players but the media players doesnt reconize serviio....

then its a port issue and not a setup issue. have u checked the correct ports are open and availible?

ok its listening on 8895 but on a loopback ip so thats not gunan work, you will need to enter 192.168.1.19 into teh BOUND ip field in console and restart serviio server.

would you believe it was already that...i found that to work on my other machine if I put the same ip address in the bound it would work....
