Can't get Serviio to work on Sony KDL-26ex550

Hi all, i am new bee. i am trying to set up serviio on my sony bravia kdl-26ex550(2012 model), on my laptop the serviio consolle shows that i am connected but on tv its not appearing! can somone here help me out in this getting correct? i can stream media files through windows media player its working properly! also i am doing this through sonys wifi dongle so pls help me....

What's not showing on your Sony TV
Is it
1) - No Serviio icon appears ?
2) - Videos don't play ?

My Sony Bravia has a menu setting it's called "Server Diagnostics" as I remember.
This checks out the network for servers and test their capabilities.
It also shows you what, if anything, it thought was wrong. ( Options button ).

Perhaps your Sony is similar.

i am not able to access serviio on my tv ! i also did server dignostic it shows that no servers found & tells me to check firewall on my pc! so i disabled it and again checked gives same message that no servers found! so pls help..

On Sony menu, do you try to clear all server list and try to refresh ?

Also can you ping you TV from your laptop ?

@illico, i tried server refresh option also tried to update server list but no work! serviio still not showing up! the other merdia servers like twonky media are working properly! does serviio works only through router? as i i am using wifi dongle for this? i am really got stuck at this to get it work! need solution badly!

dont know whats going wrong?

You could try switching windows firewall off for a test.
You do it in control panel.
Once off then try you TV again.
Don't forget to switch firewall back on again.
