Dual audio isnt support by TV or serviio, unless you mean dual subtitle language and then you can change that in teh tools menu on your TV but only external subtitles are supported and not embedded..

That's not completely true. For non-transcoded content, Serviio just sends the file as is, so it he device supports audio switching (some do) all should work. In a case of transcoded content, Serviio only muxes the first audio track.

In response to the OP's question, it might be the player only supports this for certain containers, I'd ask on Samsung's forums or call their support.

Re: Dual audio with AVI file and MKV not

I will try with one MKV file directly from USB stick and check if it support multiple audio.
As far as i know, is not necesary to transcode MKV files for Samsung's D series.

Just give me a couple hours and i will tell you if TV support multi track audio from MKV files.

Thanks.

Support over USB and support over DLNA are not the same thing. As i said support for dual audio over DLNA is not supported, i havent looked or tested if it does work via USB.

Re: Dual audio with AVI file and MKV not

I don't know why you still saying that dual audio over DLNA is not supported, if i created this thread is because i haved teste some AVI files with dual audio over DLNA.
The point is that why i can't get dual audio with MKV files even when it have dual audio too.

I supose tha if it support dual audio over DLNA it will support it over USB.
I'm not at home right now, but i'll check a MKV file from a USB and check if this way TV can get dual audio. If it do may be is a transcode problem.

Thanks.

fboulange,

Unfortunately, only one track is used per container, and the ability to use multiple subtitle files is not supported at this time.

yep it could be a random thing something that was not intended by samsung but that exact file give it in such a way that the tv allows it.

Re: Dual audio with AVI file and MKV not

Hi!!!
Now i have tested with one MKV file that have dual audio directly from a USB stick and i can switch from english to spanish.
Now we know that MKV files with multiple audio streams are supported in Samsung's D TV. Now i think is good idea to check if this is a transcoding problem.

Thanks!!!!

ok i will say this one final time you can NOT compare functions from USB to that of function over DLNA they work COMPLETELY differently.

multi audio is NOT SUPPORTED over DLNA ( aka serviio )

multi audio IS SUPPORT for USB.

Cerberus, let me tell you ONE FINAL TIME too that i watch a movie OVER DLNA with dual audio. Idon't know how you dare to deny facts that you can't check by yourself and call me a liar.

I think that your replies in this post are confusing others and making this thread confuse too because it is not intended to discuse diferences (same that i know) between using DLNA and USB
