Disconnect on folder browsing

Hey guys,

A little advice would be helpful on this, so ill give you all the back ground details.

(Note: all devices are hardwired via cat6 cable to a 1Gb switch)

I had serviio installed on a 2008 windows server, (dual xeons), 8tb of media.

Now everything was working pretty sweet, Playstation, Sony bluray, Samsung tv's, samsung bluray, not a problem.

Then the next day i was having the awful 30 minute disconnect issue. So i updated all the firmware on everything during the course of troubleshooting before i found out my ISP had remotely re-flashed my modem's firmware with their latest roll outed version... Problem being this disabled multicast & upnp and it cannot be reenabled, even with "root" access in telnet which has change to an "advanced user" (also qos and other stuff was disabled... really angry)

So while i was down the street i found a cheap replacement modem for $20, a temp replacement modem until i can find a new one.

Media server working sweet as no disconnect issue, How ever One Samsung (E series) couldn't browse media (Working Samsung is a D series). Problem being It would disconnect on folder browsing.

The same problem with my Tbox, but the samsung bluray worked so it was way around that. But the sonyblu ray player also had the same issue.

I was looking into fixing this issue and it stumped me when the motherboard on the xeon was starting to fail (onboard gpu died, onboard nic died, cpu1 failed), anyway due to the age of my xeons (brought back in 2004) I thought they had lived on for long enough. Yesterday i replaced the cpu/mobo/ram for $260 for an decent i3 / 8gb of ram etc.

So with a new version of windows installed, Java is latest version, serviio is 1.2.1, Latest codec packs from klite.

My issue has been reversed, The E series works flawlessly, but the D series now disconnects on folder browsing (couldn't care too much about the bluray players aslong as the tv works as the bluray players where the work around for the tv)

I will mention during this issue the ps3 has worked without any problems, but that's connected to a 100" projected screen.

The profile for the devices are set to the correct one and all devices have static ips. There is no new firmware for either tv has they had been updated.

The only other issue i am having atm moment is the Serviio console, when i change to the Library tab (only Libary tab) it doesn't update tab and if i run the mouse over it then the force refresh button will appear, but all the rest of the tab doesn't update, have attached a pictured of the library tab.

As the solution there was to reinstall Java, you will need to do first before tackling the other issue.

Re: Disconnect on folder browsing

How did you resolve the folder disconnect problem? I have the same thing on my samsung TV.
