[Solved] How to disable subtitles on a Samsung Smart TV
Hi!
I'm using Serviio to stream videos to my new Samsung Smart TV (UN40EH5300), and it works wonderfully.
However, the TV is displaying subtitles when they're available in the video and I haven't been able to disable them. The video I'm having trouble with is in MKV format.
The "Enable subtitles" option in Serviio is OFF. The subtitle option on my TV doesn't seem to be available when streaming media over DLNA (the option is greyed out in the TV menu, and when I press the "CC" button on the remote there's a popup message on the screen saying "Not available").
I tried playing the video using DLNA on my Xbox 360 and I don't get the subtitles. However, the playback isn't smooth, so I would really prefer to use the TV.
Are you aware of a problem with subtitles on Samsung TVs?
Is there a way to completely remove the subtitles that are embedded in a video file?
Louis
