BD-E5400 only works with General DLNA profile

Just wanted to report this incase somebody else runs into this.

I set things up, left the bluray player on so Serviio would eventually see it. It did after about 2 hours. I then thought I'd change the profile to the Samsung TV/Player E/F series. This actually does not work with the BD-E5400. It seems to work fine so far with the General DLNA profile.

I've been messing with stuff for quite a few days now trying to get some sort of DLNA reliable service going. It seems I've finally got there.

Samsung Link is complete junk... so glad Serviio exists.

Also... I feel for all Samsung owners... their wireless should really be called useless, as I had to hardline my TV, and the bluray I had to move my access point to get it to stay connected to the DLNA server...

Wish I knew this stuff before I bought all Samsung products!

Oh well, I thank you for Serviio... made my life a bit easier.

I have been searching high and low to figure out why the connection between my E5400 and Serviio seems to work at random. The setup was working just fine until one day Serviio just stopped showing up in the Allshare list and I have not had any success trying to figure out what changed that makes them unable to connect anymore. I had not shut down Serviio during that time, and I did not change anything on the E5400 and how it connects to the network.

I tried your fix and still nothing. I have been trying to get this to work for days.

At least now I know I'm not the only one having issues with the E5400 and Serviio.

So up until Samsung's latest update to the BD-E5400 the General DLNA profile worked fine. The only issue I had was the range of my access point.

Last week my player updated, and now I can't see the serviio server from my player.

Anyone have any suggestions?

The firmware version is BSP-E5400WWB1015.5
