Windowx XP (sp 3) + Servio 1.4.1.2 + Samsung 65F7100

Hi all I am a serviio newbie, for the last few weeks I have been trying (off and on) to get serviio up and running on my local network. I have installed Serviio successfully several times, however, I never have devices listed in the list of renders.

My current testing setup is:

List of potential renders (Wired (Samsung smart TV 65F7100 latest software update) / Wireless (2 samsung s4 minis, mac book air running OS Yosemite) all devices can access network and can be pinged)

PC (Windows XP Sp 3) --- (Firewall off / Virus scanner uninstalled)

Modem/Rounter (SmartRG SR360n) --- (LAN AND WAN Firewall off / Enable IGMP Snooping ON / Any setting that I could find with Multicasting turned ON)

INTERNET DSL

I have researched this forum trying to turn on and off various firewall and router settings but I have yet to be successful

Here is copy/paste from my log file

192.168.1.2 is the address of the PC where Serviio is installed.

I hope I provided enough info to get help on how to proceed further

Thanks to all for your time

Sounds like the router setup to me but I'm not familiar enough with that model to advise. Have you set in serviio to use 192.168.1.2 ip?

Biggest concern would be XP with no protection! [FACE SCREAMING IN FEAR]

Re: Windowx XP (sp 3) + Servio 1.4.1.2 + Samsung 65F7100

Agree - router setup is most the likely culprit. Try turning IGMP Snooping off. If that doesn't work toggle the other settings one at a time - "Any setting that I could find with Multicasting turned ON".

ps. haven't got these devices but if they're anything like iphones and PC's (that's a statement is open to flaming :-)) then the s4's and MAC will need to run a DLNA/UPNP client that is active before they will be detected

Thanks for the replies,

yes I did try setting serviio to use 192.168.1.2. Should the host PC (192.168.1.2) show up in the list of renders?

I agree XP with all security features shut off is me looking for some serious problems... but I had to try something.
