Samsung Firmware Screwup

Received an online firmware update to my BD player earlier this week. Now DLNA playback of MPEG2 video is worse than my TV. I've had two updates to the TV that have improved things slightly, but this latest one on the Blu-Ray player really stinks.

It's now the same as the TV. Any MPEG2 vcodec, regardless of container, doesn't play smoothly. There's no audio issues, and if I play something that is encoded differently (VC-1, AVC, MP4, etc) it plays fine. Has anyone else encountered any recent changes in video playback?
