Blue-ray Samsung BD-J5700

Hello pros,

I just bought a blue-ray player Samsung BD-J5700 brand. I chose this model because it connects to my computer and is DLNA certified. My problem is that it detects Serviio well, see the directory, but when I enter the directory it is not the movies. But I know they are there, because when I pass by it compatible TV detects and allows to play them. I test mp4, avi, mlv of no avail.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Make sure the player has the proper profile selected in the Serviio console. My Samsung BD player is never correctly recognized. It's the fault of the player, not Serviio, because it doesn't identify itself correctly.

Well, I'm going to replace my Samsung BD player with something else as well. I have two issues: first, it won't pass HD audio to my AV receiver, but more recently it is turning itself on randomly. It work me up at 2:30 this morning because that causes the TV to power on as well. It was on again at 3:30, and again when I came out of the bathroom at 4AM.

I had good results with Sony BD players before, although the last one I had had issues with my M2TS files after a firmware update. I'm probably going to cross my fingers and go back to Sony. I tried a Toshiba once and the user interface was terrible. Panasonic seems to have moved away from DLNA support, and I don't have any experience with LG. Not sure who else is out there for players.
