Server constantly failing to connect

I happened to have a Samsung Blu-ray, but the problem is that even though I leave Serviio running on my XP system, I'm lucky if I can connect to it two days in a row. Serviio console says it's still running but I must kill it and restart far too often. It's a long walk from my PC to my TV. Is there a solution to this problem?
