player recognition and drive access

I have a samsung bd-d6500 bluray player but serviio won't recoginze it. I have to manually set the profile. I tried removing it and restarting the server but it still wouldn't recognise it. :? the player shows serviio and will play movies, music and show pictures. but in serviio the light is red on the screen that shows devices and shows unknown device.

also I have some shared drives on another computer other then the server , they were added to serviio using their network path (not mapped drive letter, which I also tried). my bluray player finds the folders BUT won't show any movies in them. I can find and play movies on the server computer just not shared folders on other computers on the network.

I gave up and removed the spare drive from the remote computer and put it in the computer with the serviio server. I'm using the latest version, I tried adding the network path to the library, the folders were shared, the logins was the same on all three computers but it could never figure out why serviio would never find the files. they were only avi's.
still can't figure out why serviio won't automatically recognize the bluray.

Re: player recognition and drive access

enable detailed logging, remove all devices from serviio console, save, restart the Serviio service/your pc and then post the log (it should tell us why it's not detected automatically)

Return to Samsung
