getting started

I am new to this service and my Samsung d6000 is new so please bear with me. I don't know how to get started, I installed the seriio program but I don't know how to watch the video from my computer on my t.v. If any one could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.

Re: getting started

Open up the Serviio console, go to the library tab, press add local, browse to a folder containing your videos, tick the check box under the video icon, if it contains tv shows or movies, tick the one under the letter 'M' to fetch metadata, and if you want to keep it updated, tick the box under the blue cricular arrow. Then click save at the bottom.

You can then use show status to see the status of the files being added, once the dots go red, the content is added and you can view it on your tv.

Re: getting started

I must be really stupid today!!!!!!!!!!!! I just can't figure out even with all your help how to use the t.v. and this program together. i read that hole walkthrough and I am still no closer to getting the videos I want to watch off my computer and on my t.v. If I could get step by step on how to actually start the video on the t.v. that would be great. I have serviio running but I still can't find the videos i want to watch.

Re: getting started

I don't have a Samsung but I think you open up Samsung Allshare, and then select Serviio as the device.
