Try disabling UPnP on the router.

Try disabling UPnP on the router.

Unfortunately, no succes. The weird thing is, i managed to setup a media server (using other mediaserver software) that can be detected by the BDV-E370. This was made possible by opening a variety of ports on my router/modem. However, the Serviio server is still undetectable.. But i would really like to use the Serviio software so...... Any thoughts?

Yeah, thats the thing.. I already opened up the ports in the router/modem described in the support/faq sections.. So, even after opening tcp port 8895 and udp 1900: stil undetectable. :(

do you have any other possible software on the PC that might act as a firewall? (e.g. antivirus)

Deinstalled them all. Both on WinXP-pro and Win7-Ultimate the same issue. No media server found on bdv-e370. I have no more reason to believe its not the modem/router.. Im trying a new one now..

Well, that went easy.. Turns out it was the router. Even after opening all ports (more than even necessary).. ZTE H220N is bad news people.. Never buy that router...

I know this is quite old, but for me everything works off the bat with no trouble using netgear router on the BDV-E370 system. :)
