if you get no sound in some files make sure you have all the correct codecs installed for the said file type.

At first when I started playing files on my PS3 I didn't get sound for aac and some other file/audio types but after installing several audio and video codec packs I finally fixed the problem.

No need to install any codec on the serviio server. All codecs are embedded with ffmpeg install. But you probably talk about PS3 installation ?! don't know.

HE-AAC / LC not supported by PS3, but AAC does. But serviio can not distinguish this to format.
