I installed the new version of Serviio, on my sony bdp-bx57 , I can manage to play my mp3 and photos, but when I try to play my avi's I get cannot play file, please advise what I need to do?

Make sure you have proper profile if your player in not EU (e.g. US/Canada): viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1126

Did you restart the Windows service after you changed the file? And selected the proper profile?
If yes, post ffmpeg -i <file> for the file you're missing. Also check the file has been added (in serviio.log)

Can you post your profiles.xml?
ffmpeg is located in serviio's lib folder
