[CLOSED] Sony KDL-40R473A Ethernet Port use?

My Sony KDL-40R473A shows as an "Unrecognised device" in the Serviio console.
The TV is NOT a Smart TV, but it does have an Ethernet port and shows up on my BTHub4 Router and in Serviio as above.

Is it possible to stream video to the Ethernet port?
If not, is there any use for the Ethernet connection?

I did not find a DLNA certification for your model on dlna.org website.

Could you check with INTEL Spy tool, the format supported by your device ? (see signature link)

If your device does not appear on spy tool, means that your model is not compliant.

I downloaded Intel Device Spy. It just shows my PC and Serviio in the list.

In Network setup on the TV I can scan it and it shows:

Cable Connection: OK
Internet Connection : OK

Is there any software I can load on to the TV to make use of this. I'm just a bit baffled why the TV can be connected to the network, but I don't appear to be able to do anything with it!

The Internet Connection is used for firmware update and probably some Sony Entertainement feature (youtube,etc).

But your TV seems not DLNA/Upnp compliant, so could not be used with serviio server.

I updated the firmware via USB, there is no option to update firmware over the network connection.
There doesn't appear to be any Sony Entertainment features in the menus, no YouTube app or any other sort of app on the TV that requires the Internet.
