Serviio 1.2 no longer visible to Xperia built-in apps

I could see and browse Serviio 1.1 from built-in Xperia DLNA media applications just fine (Movie, Walkman), and it shows up under "Devices" as Serviio. Since updating to 1.2, it no longer shows up. This could be a bug with Xperia application. Other DLNA browser apps on the phone are able to see Serviio and the TV is able to see both Serviio and the phone's built-in DLNA media server. So it's not a network issue.

How do I help debug this issue of Xperia apps not being able to see Serviio 1.2 server?

Regards

Try to clean server list:
- On serviio console
- On Sony device network settings when available

Re: Serviio 1.2 no longer visible to Xperia built-in apps

I updated serviio 1.2.1 to see if some of the issues with regards to multiple networks on an adapter might be the cause, and your steps, but no go.

- TV sees DLNA media shares from both serviio and Xperia (Jelly Bean 4.1.2) and play them just fine
- serviio see's TV in list when TV connects
- Xperia Movie/Music says it can't find any devices or media server.
- BubbleUPNP app can see serviio from phone (so it doesn't seem like a network issue).

What's a good step to start debugging this? serviio logs, network traffic dumps (what should I be looking for?)

Anybody with a relatively new Xperia with Jelly Bean observing this (Z, T, V, J)

Re: Serviio 1.2 no longer visible to Xperia built-in apps

Not sure if you've had an answer to this already.

I'm running Xperia T with Jelly Bean. Updated to Serviio 1.4 and working fine.

Set up a new profile in profiles.xml (copy and paste Generic profile) and change it to ID Android, name = Xperia.

Then add this section to Transcoding.

<Transcoding>
<Audio targetContainer="mp3" forceInheritance="true">
<Matches container="flac" />
<Matches container="ogg" />
<Matches container="asf" />
<Matches container="adts" />
<Matches container="wavpack" />
<Matches container="mpc" />
<Matches container="ape" />
</Audio>

</Transcoding>

Serviio 1.4 now shows up in my 'Devices' list. The transcoding is important to convert all files to something supported by Android (i.e. not WMA).

Now working on getting it going for audio with Nexus 7 and Media house DNLA player. Might go ServiiGo for that!
