unwanted titles and poor sorting of metadata

I decided to try setting up serviio to see if it would be better handling my recorded tv than windows media player. It seemed to be simple to set up but one problem puzzles me. All of the folders that appear on my sony b-player are useless except 'by folders'. I mean if I select 'titles' or 'movies' not only are the titles incorrect but I get a bunch of titles where are not in my folders like a bunch referring to justin timberlake and other titles which I don't have. Basically I have two shared folders I added to library. One containing .wtv files created by windows media center sorted into different folders, and another folder where I just placed various different format video files, like mkv, mp4, etc. just for testing. Just a small set of files. Where these other titles come from I don't understand and I can't remove. Plus, it doesn't appear that serviio sorts the links by the metadata in the wtv files. e.g. when I select 'series' only two of the several series I have are shown. the rest are mia.

Re: unwanted titles and poor sorting of metadata

Serviio is based on metadada library to sort media.

With www.themoviedb.org you have to use good naming format for movies.

What is your TV device model, and what is the profile selected on serviio console for this device ?
