Sony LX9 FLAC

I'm posting a new topic for LX x series (As i heard there's some differences between NX LX xxx 2010 series but i'm a litle lost on this) anyway if the post is not in the appropriate place i apologize. So ad meritum, i tested flac support on LX 9 device (i do not listen to music via a tv set but...) and encountered i strange behaviour when pausing flacs then resuming. This problem is not occuring everytime a file is resumed but sometimes after resuming there's no music but radio static. For now i've tested flac files only on the linux version but i don't think that's a OS or ffmpeg on ubuntu problem because this issue is not present on the BDP-570 player. I do not know if anyone encoutered the same problem on the same or other Sony Tv set. Anyway i will make some tests on serviio 0.5.2 windows version if i find some free time this weekend.

To resume, flac pause and resume is ok on your BDP-570 but not on your Sony LX9, right?
I will check that on my BDP-S373 and EX500 this week. Could you provide "ffmpeg -i" result of your flac file?

Yes that's right. I'll post results from flac files tomorrow.

Re: Sony LX9 FLAC

Confirm:

Pause and resume a FLAC file on KDL-46EX501 failed.
Pause and resume a FLAC file on BDP-S373 is OK.

  Code:
[flac @ 015fd080] max_analyze_duration reached
Input #0, flac, from 'P:\Video\Samples\Audio\Hongroise.flac':
  Duration: 00:00:30.00, bitrate: 600 kb/s
    Stream #0.0: Audio: flac, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, s16

Re: Sony LX9 FLAC

Try to setup transcode of FLAC into mp3 for the TV.

Re: Sony LX9 FLAC

Yes its better, FLAC transcoded to mp3 could be pause then resume without error.
I'll update the Sony Bravia profile

Re: Sony LX9 FLAC

Also, is it only FLAC causing the problems or do the other audio formats need to be transcoded to mp3 as well?

Metadata:
ARTIST : Peter Gabriel
TITLE : Red Rain
ALBUM : So
DATE : 1986
track : 01
GENRE : Rock
Duration: 00:05:38.76, bitrate: 902 kb/s
Stream #0.0: Audio: flac, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, s16
At least one output file must be specified
