Problem with Serviio and 46EX710

Hello

Is my computer where I installed 0.5.2 Serviio influence that movies that I watch on TV stammer? This happens on every video file. I have cable TV connected to the router and the computer wirelessly to the router 54Mbps. Perhaps the problem is in the computer's low gear? Windows XP, 1GB RAM, CPU AMD 3000.
TV is a Sony TV 46EX710.

Regards

It could be the computer being slow, watch the cpu and memory when streaming a movie.

It could also be your wireless network. I would recommend that you do a wireless survey and see if anyone else in your area are using the same channel you are using and taking part of the time slice from your router.

Look at the below thread and see if it helps.

Re: Problem with Serviio and 46EX710

Thank you for reply.

I checked other wireless networks around me - Inssider shows that i have 2 other networks nerby, but theirs channels are 5 and 10 - mine is 11. Theirs signals strenght is very low, so i think there are no interference with my home wifi network.

About cpu and memory usage, memory are loaded by ffmpeg process (ffmpeg.exe process taking ram and cpu resources -this is normal of course) cpu going to 100% under transcoding process. Also when transcoding process finished and transcoded file waiting for streaming to tv there are again periodic freezing on TV. Additionally when i drop down param aBitrate in prfiles.xml from 384 to 192
  Code:
<Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetVCodec="mpeg2video" targetACodec="ac3" aBitrate="192">
....
<Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetACodec="ac3" aBitrate="192">

i see sometimes that i can't read movie/file from tv menu (showing err message that i can't read or access to file - don't remember, sorry i'm not near tv at this moment).

All i want to know that is there are necessary to change my computer for something new (2 cores cpu, 4GB RAM, fastest disks etc) for this kind of programs like Serviio, but only if there are sens for do that. Other way i will but some usb disk and connect it directly to my TV.

I am running a computer I built back in 2004 with a single core Athlon Chip with Linux Ubuntu running on it. I get no lag even when streaming to multple devices at the same time.

What is the specs of your computer?

Windows XP
AMD 3500+
1GB RAM
GF 7600GT
TP-LINK Wireless 11b/g - wifi conected to Netgear WGR614

Router is connected to TV by 100Mbit ethernet, but i'm considering the purchase of UWA-BR100 to my TV (usb wireless lan adapter)

Re: Problem with Serviio and 46EX710

Unfortunatelly changing computer (for dual core 3GHz, 4GB RAM, fastest disks) does not changed anything.
It's seems, that my problem is wifi 802.11g.
Is there possible to set something that my router and network card (54MBit) can play videos without lags (f.ex. sets worst quality or something in config that video stream could be send without problems through wifi 54Mbit) ?
Or changing (router and wifi card in computer) for 802.11n is needed if i want using serviio and tv together ?
