[SOLVED] Update settings not working
Last week I installed serviio on my PC under XP with SP3 to work with my Sony Bravia 46NX703 TV and it worked very well. Today I added 4 new photo images to some existing ones in the same folder but serviio is not seeing them - they are not listed on my TV. I have put the PC's IP address into the "Bound IP Address" slot under the Status tab in serviio console. Under the "Library" tab, all 5 columns are ticked including the "Scan for Updates" column. The "Library Refresh" box is ticked. Under the serviio console Status tab, there is a green blob alongside my TV's IP address. I have rebooted my PC and also switched off and restarted my TV - but still Serviio cannot see the newly added photos. If I move out of serviio and look at the albums in that folder, I can see the 4 new photos.
I cannot see any reference to this problem in FAQs so please can you suggest why serviio is not updating the library with new images so that I can view them on the big screen?
I am grateful to you.
SOLVED: I went into the serviio console and clicked on the "Library" Tab and there was a button called "Show Status". I clicked on it and after a few seconds it showed 32 against "Checking for new files" and nothing against "Checking for updates". I went back to the TV and into the serviio icon and discovered that my 4 new image files were now listed and that I could view them.
Sorry if I have been a nuisance in my inexperience of using this blog.
