Folder labels changing to numbers

Hi there! I'm pretty new to serviio and have been using PMS for the past 6 months. It seemed to work ok but I checked out serviio and liked what it had to offer. BUT there are a few problems that I'm having that I don't think should be happening.

Setup:
PS3 connected directly to the wireless router which is connected to my modem.
- Most up-to-date firmware :(
My PC which is connected via wifi to the router, running serviio and using a static IP
- Windows 7 x64

First problem is that when using the menus ie. (Video > Titles > A) . When I back out of the A folder, A turns to a number I think it was 63. Almost all the folders do this and don't reset until I restart the PS3. Any suggestions or questions about my question?

Second problem is that when going into Video > Movies, the movies starting with C are not displayed. I haven't had time to check the other 23 letters but either way I would like to get this fixed.

Thanks in advance guys! I love serviio so far especially that it runs as a service which wouldn't work for me on PMS.

Re: Folder labels changing to numbers

the first problem is a known bug, not sure how to reproduce this unless someone cares to lend me their PS3 for a few days :-)

Thanks for the reply!

On the first problem, is there a fix in the making?

Second problem, Would it help for me to provide a log or something?

Files will only show in Movies if metadata has been found. Does the file appear in Folders view? If yes it's been added but Serviio doesn't know if it's a movie and doesn't show it under movies.

Re: Folder labels changing to numbers

I just went and checked the listings.

Movies starting with C do not appear in the Movie Folder but do appear under the Folders folder and Title Folder. It appears as though it found the metadata but I may be mistaken.

Re: Folder labels changing to numbers

What is the name under Titles menu? And what is your file name?

Re: Folder labels changing to numbers

Here is my folder structure
Movies
- Captain America The First Avenger [2011]
- Captain.America.The.First.Avenger.2011 ... .avi
- Cars
- Cars [2006]
- Cars.mp4
- Cars 2 [2011]
- Cars 2.2011. ... .mkv
... etc

On the Titles Folder it displays them just as the file names are listed above without the extension.

There are a few unsupported data type files... i don't know if that's serviio or the ps3 (since the ps3 doesn't seem to support that many anyways).

Also there are astricks next to all my video titles, what is the reasoning for this?

hope this answers your questions!

*EDIT*

I attached my detailed log list if this helps... seems like a lot of warnings in it... perhaps I need to rename a lot of my files? Also there were still quite a few that were having trouble playing that don't say unsupported data type.

Re: Folder labels changing to numbers

it they are the same under Titles it means metadata has not been found. Otherwise it's be the name (correctly formatted) as found in the online DB. Then the video would also show under Movies. Try to rename the file to match the record on themoviebd.org
