PS3 plays for a bit then starts a strange skipping.

I want you all to know that I love Serviio and think it's great...

Now to my question.

With the most recent install of serviio w/o changing any of the config my PS3 will start to play then suddenly start a strange skipping. It's like it plays the video it seems to skip every other second. I can show a phone video of what it's doing if need-be.

One of the videos I'm talking about has these specs:

Thanks for the reply.

I've updated my mkvtoolnix to 5.3.0 today. Problem still there. The strange thing is that the movie plays fine on my xbmc box, and on a sony bluray player. Only the PS3 seems to have the problem.

Re: PS3 plays for a bit then starts a strange skipping.

If the video used to play with an older version of serviio (before you installed the update), then the problem may be the version of ffmpeg installed along with the serviio update.

If that is the case (used to play, and now it skips), Cerberus may be able to suggest another build of ffmpeg you can use for now, or you can just go back to the previous ffmpeg version that worked for you, until the problem is sorted.

can you please post the date of the ffmpeg.exe file in your ...\serviio\lib directory?

nope no fix for ffmpeg atm reverting back to 0.6.0.1 will fix it but you loose online streaming.

NOTE: if possible send me the file so i can test here on my setup. :)
