What does Play back not available mean?

Hi,

I recently bought a Sony CX520. I have used Serviio to stream videos.

I have a few xvid and divx that when played on the tv it says "Playback not available."

My TV is using the Sony Bravia 2011 Profile.

I am thought that the system is suppose to transcode these files to allow them to be read?

I am not sure where to start but happy to run tools to identify what codec and what framerates are behind them to make sure that they work.

Many thanks.

Re: What does Play back not available mean?

If you select 2011 profile, avi will be delivered in native format, and depending to codec used, sometime TV could not support it.
If you select 2010 profile, avi will be trancoded to mpeg2video, supported by TV.
Could you provide information about a file that did not play -see signature links?

Yes, Sony Bravia 2010 profile transcode avi.
Your previous file seems good, don't know why Sony did not support it.
