problem playing avi

hi i have a sony telly KDL-32EX720

my mate lent me this tv series to watch but the .AVI wont play my sony says 'not supported'!

i ran the ffmpeg thing

it said...

video: mpeg4 (advanced simple profile) <xvid / 0x44495658) bitrate 1353 kb/s, yuv420p, 624x352 [SAR 1:1 DAR 39:22], 23.98 tbr, 23.98 tbn, 23.98 tbc

am i able to watch this somehow?

When avi file does not play with your 2011 sony model, change the profile on serviio console to "Sony Bravia 2010", then avi file will be transcode to mpeg2. When finished ou can go back to "Sony Bravia 2011" profile selected.
