Transcoding errors

I have been working on trying to get my 2011 panasonic dt30 to work and it does perfectly for every format except for .avi which for some reason isnt being transcoded? Is this a known issue or am i the only one?

Re: Transcoding errors

Which profile are you using: the Panasonic 2011/12 profile only transcodes selected (few) AVI's, the 2011 profile will transcode all of them.

To check the obvious, ensure transcoding is enabled on the Delivery tab. If it is, then post a detailed log so we can see what Serviio is doing.

Re: Transcoding errors

Ive checked tanscoding is enabled but its using the Panasonic 2011/2012 profile for the DT series TVs that was bundled with the software as I have a LC32DT30. Ill try the Panasonic 2011 ST/VT profile later today and if that doesn't solve the issue Ill get a media log and detail log posted.
Thanks

Also is there anyway that I could build a profile for the 2011/2012 that forced encoding?

yes, but the 2011 profile is simply the 2011/12 profile with enforced AVI transcoding, so its done for you.

Having said that, my reading is that the DT30 supports AVI files natively (ie. they shouldn't need transcoding). What are you seeing that suggests it isn't doing so. Also, have you tried to play one of the movies from a USB stick. It may pay to paste a MediaInfo output for the file - you may have a weird combination of video or audio codec.
