Re: G30 and X30 panasonic TVs

I don't have a G30, but I can tell you that the results for a Panasonic GT30B (TX-P46GT30B) with firmware version 1.218 match those listed in the Wiki for "Panasonic Viera E30, E30B".

Can you post the result here please, just so i can be sure :) cause it would be odd for a T series to be different from the other T series devices.

EDIT: scratch that i knwo there different as i already had result for GT30 and it was same as VT30 and different from E30 (E30 has less support than the others)

Just to confirm, the GT30B that I have (and what is listed on the wiki for the E30/E30B) includes the extra ms* formats over what is listed for the GT30 (with no 'B'):

  Code:
http-get:*:application/x-dtcp1;CONTENTFORMAT="video/mpeg":DLNA.ORG_PN=DTCP_MPEG_PS_PAL;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=8d118000000000000000000000000000,

http-get:*:application/x-dtcp1;CONTENTFORMAT="video/mpeg":DLNA.ORG_PN=DTCP_MPEG_TS_SD_EU_ISO;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=8d118000000000000000000000000000,
http-get:*:application/x-dtcp1;CONTENTFORMAT="video/vnd.dlna.mpeg-tts":DLNA.ORG_PN=DTCP_MPEG_TS_SD_EU;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=8d118000000000000000000000000000,
http-get:*:application/x-dtcp1;CONTENTFORMAT="video/vnd.dlna.mpeg-tts":DLNA.ORG_PN=DTCP_MPEG_TS_SD_EU_T;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=8d118000000000000000000000000000,
http-get:*:audio/x-ms-wma:*,
http-get:*:video/avi:*,
http-get:*:video/divx:*,
http-get:*:video/mpeg:DLNA.ORG_PN=MPEG_PS_PAL;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=8d100000000000000000000000000000,
http-get:*:video/mpeg:DLNA.ORG_PN=MPEG_PS_PAL_XAC3;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=8d100000000000000000000000000000,

http-get:*:video/x-ms-wmv:*,
http-get:*:video/x-msvideo:*,

(I'm not au-fait with the Panasonic model naming, I know the G30B/ GT30B difference is that the 'T' denotes 3D, but is the 'B' meant to be significant? These supported format differences might be down to firmware versions and not TV model numbers?)

deffinately that why im spending time going over each sink one by one to confirm what is shown but i expect your correct that they all have same support.

i have a feeling that the B denotes that TV is black and without the B the set would be silver.

EDIT: Is that the complete sink as it seems that your set doesnt support and image files at all ????

no, that's just the extra things over what you have listed for the G30.

Attached is the full output.

Yep your Definitely correct the E30 and GT30 are the same and to confirm the B is just colour difference. so all I need is the X30 sink info thanks for that :)

Re: X30 panasonic TV information required

I tried running Device Spy a few weeks ago on my Panasonic TC-P50S30 but it doesn't detect the tv. Is there any other way to grab the info from the tv or is there an alternative program? How are some of you able to grab this info from Panny tvs? BTW I've already looked up the tv on the DLNA site.

Some Tvs dont support UPNP search so dont appear on device spy thats normal. :) thanks for the information though it all helps make serviio better.

Re: Panasonic TV information required

Have tried both of you final profiles and have settled on using the "Panasonic Viera Without AVI Support", "Serviio transcoding enable", as my default.

Despite the UT30 having native avi support, without using Serviio, along with the "Without AVI Support" profile, that native support in my experience is rather limited.

The "Panasonic Viera Without AVI Support profile" allows me to play most of the files i have (ive only got one avi file that fails with this profile) and more importantly for me the profile gives perfect .ts file playback.

Have tried various media server software, all with limited success, before settling on Serviio . Will be sticking with Seviio from now on.

The Serviio team has created a great piece of kit.

Thanks TheBadSeed (Jon)
