Synology DS412+ Not seeing Library Folders
Original issue somewhat fixed, but I'd still like to know:
1) Why the Serviio console won't install on my W8 desktops unless I also install the server at the same time of install - on the desktop?
2) When I shut down the PC that console is running on, why is it that the connected Samsung TV (I've set Serviio up for) loses connection with the Serviio server on the NAS?
Cheers
Fixed this original enquiry below, and can now see the folders and files. I was using "\\Diskstation\Folder" as the path, when I changed to "/volume1/Folder" it worked.
2 Issues... Any help appreciated.
1) Serviio Console won't run on any of my 3 W8 machines without the server being installed at the same time, on the same machine. Tried 1.2.1 and 1.3.1 plus I've uninstalled Java and then allowed Console to install it. So, although I'm running Serviio server from Synology NAS (this is my intention) I've also had to install on Desktop - because I have no other option to run Console.
2) New Samsung 46" Smart TV is recognized from Console and can see the Serviio server on the TV, it cannot see the Library > Folders I've added to console on the TV.
Set-up as follows...
Synology NAS installed V1.2.1
Console Install on Desktop V1.3.1 (also tried V1.2.1)
Ports Opened: 8895 / 1900 / 23423
Java V6 installed on NAS
Java 7 installed on Desktop
Edited ServiioConsole.exe.vmoptions with IP.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
