Buffalo LS-V3.OTL NAS

I have a lowly Buffalo LS-V3.OTL NAS connected to a DLINK DIR-825. I cannot get Serviio to recognize the external internet path to my NAS share which is just MP3 and FLAC audio files.

I have configured port forwarding on the DLINK router to unblock port 47601 (NAS incoming port), and incoming/outgoing NAS ports 9000. I have configured my NAS external settings and can access my NAS either via the browser or using Webaccess client from my iPhone so I know the NAS is configured properly.

When I attempt to put in the path into Serviio (remote tab) as: http://buffalonas.com/my_share and set it to automatically update my router settings (which I'm not sure it's doing anything), it returns a red 'X'. If I check the status in the Serviio Library tab, I only see red dots.

I've tried setting the Buffalo as a DLNA server as well, but although Serviio sees it, it is amber in color (not sure what I'm doing here..)

Thanks!

Re: Buffalo LS-V3.OTL NAS

You need to add the location of your media libraries on the Libraries tab (Shared Folders) using the Add Path button, not on the Remote tab. See http://www.serviio.org/component/conten ... ng-started.

Ensure that the user that the Serviio service logs in as has access to the NAS folders.

Re: Buffalo LS-V3.OTL NAS

Yes, thanks for that. Initially when I submitted my post, if I pointed to my Buffalo NAS share, or '\\NASDISK\MUSIC SHARE', the Serviio library wouldn't retrieve any info. So I changed the Serviio service log on properties so as to duplicate what I have on the NAS (ID/pwd) -- and it worked. But since then, it hasn't... I've tried stopping/starting/reinstalling etc.

I also since changed the remote setup to a Dynamic DNS acct. instead of pointing at the BuffaloNAS link (doh). Serviio now says it is all good or green, and I can access the NAS share through Serviio using "Open MediaBrowser" -- but since Serviio library isn't updating the files from the NAS, nothing is showing up

Hope that makes sense
