Force 5.1 output with routable channels
I have an older receiver that has a very annoying habit. When there is a change in the type of audio stream, it defaults to stereo. If I had it previously running pro logic on a 2 channel video file, when it ends and I start another file, it will default back to stereo. Its just a quirk of the equipment, cant change it.
If I watch an mkv that has 5.1 in it, my receiver will output 5.1 correctly.
So here is my request: Have an option so when playing a file with only 2 channels of audio, output a 5.1 bitstream but have the option of routing the two channels to either front left and right or both to center.
The receiver I am using is a Harman Kardon AVR 210. Yeah, I know its old but its decoder is pretty awesome and I use the TV to select HDMI sources.
