Why does conect Serviio with the Internet

I think that serviio is a local Stream server - why serviio connect with serviio Server with internet ?

The server has to connect to online metadata sites such as thetvdb.com and themoviedb.com so that it can label and provide artwork and other details for your media files.

Also if you add any online content then those obviously require connecting to the internet.
