Does Serviio honor the "Title" entry in .pls playlists?

And, how is Serviio supposed to use playlists of various formats?? Is it documented in any detail anywhere??

I tried searching for the playlist help files, but I'm having difficulty with my work proxy server.

Serviio supports the following playlist formats: PLS (.pls), M3U (.m3u, .m3u8), ASX (.asx, .wax., .wrx), WPL (.wpl). I use the PLS format, and to my knowledge the Title entry is there and used. Not home right now so I can't look at one of my PLS files.

One nice feature about a playlist is that you can specify the list order, rather than being alphabetical. For my Star Wars and Star Trek playlists, I have the movies in chronological order, so they play in the order of year released. I also have some TV series in a single playlist, so my wife doesn't need to search through each year folder to find a specific episode.

Beyond that, I'm not sure what you are asking, about how Serviio "uses" a playlist. It simply gives you a list of videos to play in the order you desire, grouped together as you specify.

It uses the title from the file's metadata (if available), not from the playlist
