Slingbox and Supported Streamers
Since this space is reserved for questions about streaming in general, I thought I'd ask one about something other than Serviio.
I have a couple of slingboxes. They're great. I also have a spare TV that's too good to toss out but there's no available connections for it.
Does anyone know how well the Slingbox apps that are embedded in some media streamers, such as Roku and WD Live, work? Do I just attach the streamer to the TV and connect to the Slingbox over the network, or do I have to buy an app or two in addition to the media streamer? The ads make it look like all I need is the streamer but a Roku I once owned (but sent back because it didn't support DLNA) made it look like I needed to buy an additional app, but I sent it back before figuring it out. (Besides, the WD live is supported by Serviio ... two birds with one stone)
