MySQL/XBMC Database support

Hi Everyone,

I've been googling and forum trawling for a while now, and I can only find veiled references to linking serviio into a mysql db, more specifically, the MyVideosXX XBMC MySQL Database Schema.

I saw somewhere in the release notes that MySQL connection was possible, but I can't find any info on how to make it happen (if it can happen :D )!!

FYI, I'm running latest serviio (paid) on Ubuntu 14.04. XBMC is latest gotham nightly build.

Kind Regards!

J

The main discussion about using MySQL is in the restricted beta testing area. I know it was requested to move the posting out to the general area, but it hasn't been done yet, and our agreement as beta testers restricts us from sharing the info here. Hopefully this will remind one of the board admins to move it.

And yes, it does work. It does require a higher than average knowledge of computers and databases, but if you're up to it, best of luck. I just haven't found the time to tackle it myself, and I am familiar with MySQL.

Re: MySQL/XBMC Database support

Thanks for the reminder - this had slipped my mind.

MySQL topic is now at viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15531.
