Just because you have internet and a phone doesnt mean that you can do other things? I'm working as an IT-consult and programmer, so I'm really using a computer every day. I still travel everywhere, work out, meets my GF, friends and partying at the weekend? A computer and a phone doesnt mean that you don't have a life.
And no, I wouldn't be able to live without computers or phones. I wouldn't have a job if they didnt existed and all my studies would be a waste. But if would work with something else, I could absolutely live without computers, internet and phones. I would read books, probably drink more, party more and spend more money on food and other shit.
FYI, just came back from switzerland and going to CES in Las Vegas in January. So, I'm doing pretty much.
