Will Serviio fix an issue I have with Twonky and m2ts files
Hi all,
My first post here after someone recommended serviio as a replacement for Twonky.
I currently use Twonky to stream to an Oppo BDP-93 BR player. Normally I have no issues, however maybe 25% of the time when streaming BR rips as m2ts, Twonky sends the wrong file duration so the Oppo thinks the file is shorter than it actually is.
I normally stream using MKV however the Oppo won't play lossless (TRueHD, DTS-MA) tracks when muxed as an MKV which is which is why I use m2ts for them.
My question is will Serviio stream m2ts with h264 and TrueHD/DTS-MA tracks?
Failing that will it do lossless transcoding like ps3mediaserver from say an mkv container to m2ts with those same tracks. The formats are fine it's just the lossless audio being in mkv that introduces the issues.
Would I need to get a new profile created for the player before I can try any of this?
Cheers in advance
Paul.
