Missing features upgrade vs new install
Hey Folks,
Yet again let me say how great Serviio is!
Anyway onto my quandary.
I have recently upgraded my Linux (OpenBSD actually) 1.6 Pro install to 1.7 Pro and now to 1.8 Pro, the upgrade process I followed is simple:
/ Download the latest GZ file, extract contents to /var
/ Remove the 1.8 /Library and /Plugin folders and copy over the corresponding folders from the 1.6 Pro install
This process works a treat, I retain all my media library files along with the servers config and license, great so where is the problem you ask?
I've just built a small home NAS device for a friend, same OS and Serviio release as my box, obviously I installed a new instance of Serviio 1.8 Pro (new license
) again all good.
However I notice that on the 'New' install within the Console configuration page I have a new 'Social' menu option, this is 'missing' from the upgraded server. I also see that as per the release notes the 'New' install correctly shows when a DLNA device is accessing a file, as you may have already guessed the 'upgraded' server does not even when the same DLNA device is used to access the server.
So obviously I've managed to 'tweak' something I shouldn't have during my upgrade but for the life of me I cannot see what? I could do a fresh install on my existing server but have managed to loose my license file and didn't want to plague Admin asking for a replacement.
