Another "Error 1067 : The Process terminated unexpectedly"

I had Serviio 1.1 installed on a Win 7 32 bit system and life was good.

The last time that Serviio ran was on Feb 22nd according to the log file.

Now the server will not run. When I use the Start Serviio Service item I get nothing. Serviio is listed under Services in the windows task manager, but it is stopped. I use the Services tool in the windows Administrative Tools to start Serviio and that is where I see "Error 1067 : The Process terminated unexpectedly".

This topic has already been discussed in this forum and I tried those suggestions. I uninstalled Serviio and reinstalled. I uninstalled Java 7 and reinstalled. I also uninstalled Java 7 and installed Java 6. I have rebooted in each of those steps.

I now have no log file. The Log directory is empty.

Any suggestions? Nothing was installed after Feb 22nd unless Windows automatic update did something. I work in software support and I always question what else was installed

Try this with ServiioService.exe viewtopic.php?f=5&t=95&start=20#p64284

No idea if it'll actually give you any output, but worth a try.

I tried your suggestion to get a log and nothing happened.

C:\Program Files\Serviio\bin>serviioservice /create-i4j-log

I have a spare system with Ubuntu loaded that I sometimes play with. I will install Serviio there. It has been my plan to move most things to Linux, so this will work out nicely.
Thank you.

Can you check how many JAVA versions are installed in your machine. If you have two versions try uninstalling one of them..

Only one version shows up in the Java console. That is Java 6.

I don't know if there are other profiles that you are talking about, but I found profiles.xml and application-profiles.xml in my serviio/config directory. They are both dated 12/19/2012. I have not edited them.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I do appreciate the help.

serviio 1.2 is out, so try this: uninstall old version and install newest.

That fixed my problem!

When did 1.2 come out? When my problem first occurred, I donwloaded a new copy from Serviio and that was 1.1 and that was only last week.

Again, thanks for all the suggestions.
