Sorry, I'm still gnawing at this bone. :D Respectfully, it seems that I am not alone with this. Could I perhaps capture this with wireshark or something and send it to you please?

Re: Xbox streaming tv broken

I contacted Xbox support on Twitter today about this error. They couldn't provide any more info on the error, but I was told that the error seems to suggest that the connection was interrupted.

I also asked if too long a delay before receiving any data would cause the System Video Player to time out, and was told that a delay in response could possibly cause this error. Maybe the Serviio would need to send some blank video or something to the Xbox immediately, while the stream is loading and beginning to transcode?

Re: Xbox streaming tv broken

Just an update. I have turned my wifi router off and connected via ethernet. Serviio's internet video streaming is still broken on the Xbox.

Re: Xbox streaming tv broken

Xbox support tweeted me this page:
http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/audio-video-setup-and-use/video-playback-status-codes

It says:
  Code:
53-C00DF237
53-C00DF238

The network connection was closed.

Make sure that your computer is turned on, connected to the network, and running media-sharing software.

So I wonder, does that mean that the Xbox thinks that Serviio has stopped sending it data then?

Re: Xbox streaming tv broken

sorry if I missed this in the thread, but what content are you trying to stream? The only content that seems to work for me is shows off the hulu plugin, pretty much all others don't work on the xbox for me.

Re: Xbox streaming tv broken

I have problems streaming mostly AppleHTTP streams e.g.
  • http://srv1.viiideo.gr:1935/hellasonmedia/mp4:neatv/playlist.m3u8
  • http://eco.caststream.net:1935/tv100/tv100/playlist.m3u8"

This is with the latest beta, which seems to have significantly improved streaming video with the Xbox.

I also have exceptions, such as one .m3u8 stream which does seem to work. And also an rtmp stream that doesn't work with the Xbox.

Re: Xbox streaming tv broken

Update. Streaming still broken on Xbox 360 with Serviio 1.4.1.1. I am now running Debian Linux on the same PC and have added streams manually to Serviio (previously I used the LiveFeeds plugin). Still the same error.
