WHS2011 add-in configuration error

Hi,

Hi, I am using Pro v1.2.1 and WHS2011 add-in v. 0.6.1.0. I have problems with the transcoding functionality and I can see that the Serviio configuration is different between the normal Serviio console and the WHS2011 add-in.

In the console I can see that transcoding is activated, but in the add-in it is not activated. If I try to activate it, it is not saved and keeps on being de-activated in the add-in.

Q1: is this a program error?
Q2: what should I do?
Q3: is transcoding actually active on my server?

Hope you can help.

Best regards
Mikkel.

Re: WHS2011 add-in configuration error

The WHS add-in was designed for an earlier version of Serviio and is not compatible with the new version of Serviio.

Either run the console on the WHS and remote desktop in, or install the console on your PC and point it to your Server (see the faq for running the console on a different machine)

Re: WHS2011 add-in configuration error

There's also a version of the WHS2011 add-in that will work with the newer versions. I can't remember the page exactly, but there's a link to other versions near or under the big Download button.
