Serviio resans the hole hdd

Hi Just 1 problem can this be solved? I have a 2tb internal HDD and have media added to SERVIIO from it the problem I have is If for some reason I unplug the HDD and re plug it serviio will start scanning and adding from the begining as if I added the folder for the first time.
server running serviio PRO and media browser Intel dual core g2030 3.0Ghz 8gb dd3 ram Microsoft windows server 2012 gigabit network . Devices Sony KDL55W805A, ps3, 2 sony bravia 2011, 5 android devices 2 of them samsung galaxy s3 running bubble upnp and serviigo, netgem netbox , 2 laptops XBMC windows 8

If you unplug your external HDD, you have to uncheck the checkboxes in the orange box here: http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=ser ... _explained

Otherwise Serviio assumes the files have been removed once you unplug the drive.

I'm bumping this because I am interested (a lot of the media we stream is off an external HDD). Does that also mean Serviio wouldn't catch when new files are added to the hard drive? Would you have to force refresh after each move?
