My Serviio isnt recognizing my devices

Ive been over the forums and the FAQ but i cant seem to fix this issue.

There was a lightning strike that busted my modem/router and also the ethernet port on my computer, i went out and bought a USB > Ethernet adapter and that is when the issue started...

Correct ports are fowarded.
IGMP is turned off.

Not sure you will get too many responses as the use of a USB-Ethernet adaptor on a PC acting as a media server will be pretty rare. It could be anything - these devices implement proprietary drivers to intercept data destined for the network and push it to the USB port... all they have to do is not implement something properly....

I've got to ask - why wouldn't you simply replace the ethernet port (eg. with a PCI card with an ethernet port - they're not expensive).

i work from home, had to replace it asap. drove to BB immediately and picked one up, they dont sell the PCI cards in the store, if i need to get one to fix the issue then so be it.

inho it would be a few dollars well spent, and could save a lot of potential pain later, not just with Serviio but with other apps however...

I do have one concern before you part with your money - it could also be the router (from your OP it looks like you also replaced that). Do you have another PC (with an ethernet port) that you could temporarily load Serviio on to, just to confirm the router/network is all OK. Another thing to try is to turn on Windows streaming (Windows Media Player, Stream) on your PC with the USB adaptor and see if your TV finds that (if it doesn't it doesn't prove anything, but if it does it would suggest its not the adaptor).
