sony bdp s490

When I fast forward or rewind a movie over serviio dnla on my sony bdp s490, the movie freezes. I have to switch off the blue ray player then on again to resume whatching. Even then when I try again it freezes until I am lucky. this happens more with .mkv then with .avi or mp4 containers. please help.
