vlc not listing one of my servers

I have a couple of serviio instances on various machines on my network. For some reason, one of them refuses to "expand" it's listing in VLC.

Server works fine on xbox and other dlna clients but for some reason this one server refuses to list itself out to VLC. I tried wiping my library and letting it rebuild and it seemed to fix the issue for a day or two but now it's gone back to not listing in VLC.

Note that I am seeing this issue on several instances of VLC on different machines, my other servers list out fine though. It see's the server and shows the name but never lets me expand the listing.

Any ideas?

maybe it's got a lot more files in the library and takes time? I know VLC gets all the files from the library when browsing UPnP servers, which is super ineffective.

that may be it. I do have a ton of media on the affected server. I guess i'll just let it sit and see if it eventually works.
