Yes have seen this before for some router types.
Before we go down that path though, try clearing the PS3 media server cache. The PS3 seems to cache the server address, so either ensure that the IP address for the server remains unchanged when going from wireless to wired, or better, clear the cache from the PS3 - from memory in your PS3 settings turn off the option related to Media Servers (sorry forget what its called and not near my PS3 today, but its near the bottom of the settings area from memory), restart your PS3 and then turn the Media Server option back on.
If this doesn't work we will need to look at your router - what router are you using? Look for options related to multicast or IGMP proxy. I should say in some cases this hasn't been resolved - works if both are wired or both are wireless, but not across the wireless/wired "barrier".
