Party Streaming
Conventionally, DLNA allows devices to individually select content from the server and play that content. I would like to set up something somewhat different, and I feel as if there should be a relatively simple way for me to do it, but I have yet to find it. Perhaps someone could help me.
I have a PC entertainment center (Serviio server) in my office. I have a Sony home theater in my living room, and an old stereo with a 3.5mm jack-connected android device in my kitchen. I'd like to play music to all three.
-Sony has party-streaming, but it only works across Sony devices, not PC's or Smartphones.
The only concept I've had that might theoretically work would be to create an online stream from my PC's media player?, and set Serviio up with that online resource, and then have the other devices play that stream from Serviio. But that seems like walking backwards around the world to get across the street.
Is there a simple way to do what I'm trying to accomplish?
Thanks
