Poster image for series
I'm trying to decide between serviio and plex. I like the apparent flexibility of serviio (it's processing some of my more difficult "series" quite well compared to plex) but I can't seem to manage to get an image for those items that don't find one on the internet.
I read http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=metadata
and put jpg files in the series directory but serviio doesn't seem to pick anything up even though I've tried several of the supported names. Does this work only for movies (single files)?
There appears to be no information provided about series - but sometimes information about the individual episodes. One thing I like about plex is the ability to find on the internet OR provide in the editor information such as this.
Also, how much metadata does serviio pick up out of the mp4 files themselves. The only thing that is mentioned in the description is the image used and that is showing up.
