Movie files have name of parent directory

I have a Sony BDP-S3100 blu-ray player. Serviio is installed on my iMac. I browse the movie files on my TV and see movies that have the name of the parent directory like this:

Movies
Home Videos
2012
December
001.mts
002.mts

My shared folder in Serviio is Movies. I end up with a bunch of files named December. I need to give better file names, but it shouldn't name them December. I can't distinguish between the files.

Re: Movie files have name of parent directory

Ideally you don't wwant to use descriptive metadata (the M column in shared folders tab in the console) for this shared folder (Home Videos), but yes for the other movies. So you'd need to move Home Videos outside of Movies and share the 2, Movies with metadata and home video without.

Then access your home videos through the Folders category in the TV.
